How Black breaks the ice and maintain the safety perimeter

This is the first time we have traveled for such an extensive time and long distance with Black. Frankly, beforehand I was quite skeptical about the idea. However, the dog has adapted extremely well to our gypsy lifestyle. He is conscious that the Land Cruiser now is his “cave” and he guards it (and us) attentively when we are on the move or stopping. Each time someone approaches the vehicle on the side of the car in a queue, he speaks up (barks aggressively) and makes whoever is approaching think twice.  And neither does he show much respect for police officers – more than one has pulled back when he sticks his black head out the window and barks!

As mentioned, Black has also been the topic of numerous conversations and photo sessions like the one shown above when a female police officer in Cochabamba politely requested a photo of her and the dog.
