2nd round of preps

We have now returned to Montevideo to continue our Patagonia expedition.

The Toyota Landcruiser has been in the repair shop for almost a week, and we are little by little realizing the consequences of travelling with an older vehicle. We already knew that we had to repair the front-axle (which was clearly leaking oil on both sides), but the mechanic discovered in addition to the seals, several worn-out parts when starting the “open surgery”. We also realized that the exhaust-tube connection to the engine was broken and which also will be replaced while we have the opportunity to do so/ It was clear that something was wrong since the old cruiser sounded as a tractor. As of writing, we are crossing our fingers to be able to depart Montevideo heading south tomorrow morning (however, this is still to be confirmed).
