We knew this was a popular destination with its fantastic hiking opportunities, but still we were surprised by this little town’s beauty and charm.

Our camping was very close to the start of several popular hiking tracks. Consequently, the camp was close to full of backpackers, large and small campers, motorcycles and otherwise filled up of tents and “camping and hiking activity”.

On the photo, an example of some Germans travelling in an ex firetruck….. Almost any vehicle might be seen on the road.
We managed to find a sufficiently large spot, now experienced in this routine, and raised our “house” and access-ladder not too far from the common kitchen, toilets and showers.
The camp offers access to a common kitchen (open for the whole world to use while visiting) and shower with hot water. In other words, pure luxury.
We decided to go to bed early in preparation for the next day’s hike and we are only crossing our fingers that the wind stays calm so we can sleep without too much noise (from the tent flapping in the wind).
