The following is neither meant to be a purely descriptive listing of observations nor a sequential narrative following events on an imaginary timeline. The stories and anecdotes instead will give insights as to how we experienced it all, as actors and participants. It is based on our cultural understanding and perception including how we experienced geography, its pure dimensions such as length and height. It will also summarize reflections on contextual phenomena and surprising events along the way on route from Montevideo, Uruguay to Cartagena, Colombia.
Though it’s hard, I will try not to bore readers with technical details regarding the vehicle – however, since I personally may re-read this in some years, please understand that our old Toyota Land Cruiser HDJ80 (1997) literally has been our “house” and our “horse” on this route and others – and thus absolutely fundamental for our safe and joyful travels.
